Kashmiri chiles give dishes a bright red boost without adding too much heat. Slightly tangy and fruit forward, this pepper is typically used in Indian cuisine like rogan josh, tandoori chicken, and various chutneys. Rating only 1,000-2,000 on the Scoville Heat scale, kashmiri chiles are very mild and rank just above paprika in hotness. This pepper powder is best used in mild dishes and as garnish whenever a pop of color is needed.
