Chipotles are jalapeños that have been smoke-dried, giving them that characteristic smoky sweet flavor. An essential ingredient in Mexican adobo, you can rehydrate these flakes and add it to chilis, beans, and eggs, or blend them up with water, vinegar, salt, and garlic to make a smoky hot sauce.
