The small chile de árbol—ranging between 15,000-30,000 Scoville Heat Units—is milder than cayenne, but 3-6 times hotter than jalapeños. Use this powder anywhere you would normally use cayenne or red pepper flakes, such as chilis, stews, curries, over eggs or potatoes, in hot sauces, or to spice nuts. Add it to anything that could use a little kick of heat.
