A collaboration with our friends at Lehr's German Specialties! Glühwein is a traditional mulled wine from Germany made with warm spices to fill your kitchen with that signature autumn aroma. Featuring cinnamon, star anise, cloves, allspice, mace, ginger, and orange peel, our blend is perfect for red wine, apple or pear cider, and other warming beverages.
One bag will be enough to flavor 5 bottles of wine or about 1 gallon of cider or juice. Bring the wine or juice to a low simmer and steep ¼ cup spices for every bottle of wine for 15-30 minutes, either loose or wrapped up in a cheesecloth. Sweeten as you like, but we recommend ½ cup of sugar and ½ tsp of vanilla extract per bottle of wine.
